We don’t publish the Bible in full, but we do a great contemporary re-telling of the gospel of Luke. It’s quirky and fun for children aged 8-11 (though we do know a number of teens and adults who love the book too). Take a look at Diary of a disciple: Luke’s Story here

As Scripture Union celebrates 150 years of ministry, we believe that God is calling us to refocus our efforts on sharing the good news of Jesus with children and young people.

With that priority in mind, and to enable us to be effective as possible in this vital mission, we are making some changes to our publishing ministry.

We are taking the time to review our current catalogue and there will be some changes in line with our focus on children and young people. In doing so, we are exploring ways in which as many as possible of our much-loved products can continue to serve the church.

We plan to continue the provision of Bible-reading guides, the Light curriculum and It’s Your Move, to name just a few, and we’ll also be developing some new and exciting mission-focussed resources for sharing the good news with children and young people.

The LifeBuilder series will now be published by IVP, while The Big Bible Storybook range will be published by SPCK. However, both series can still be purchased through your local Christian bookstores, as well as online retailers such as eden.co.uk.

Scripture Union are confident that both SPCK and IVP will be able to open many more opportunities – in print and digital – so that the two series will help people to discover Jesus or grow in their faith journey.
