SU around the world

Scripture Union currently operates in over 130 countries across the world, working through local people to make Jesus known

Linked through an international fellowship and working with the churches, Scripture Union's global aims are:

  • to make God’s good news known to children, young people and families, and
  • to encourage people of all ages to meet God daily through the Bible and prayers.

Underpinning these aims is the desire for individuals to come to personal faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, grow in Christian maturity and become both committed church members and servants of a world in need.

In each country where Scripture Union exists, we seek to fulfil our aims in ways most appropriate to the culture of that country.

We encourage national leadership and membership of Scripture Union movements, including staff, volunteers and governing bodies. In most countries, the number of staff is very small compared to the large number of volunteers.

While our ministries may vary in nature, around the globe our movements are united by our Aims, Belief and Working Principles. Click here to read or download a copy of them.
