Hundreds of people take part in Cumbria’s biggest ever Messy Church. Every public space in the Rheged Discovery Centre Penrith was given over to a huge range of activities, each designed to engage children and families with the good news of Jesus. Staff and volunteers from Scripture Union north west were there introducing children to Guardians of Ancora. We were certainly kept busy. None of the children we spoke to had played the game before, but with a bit of help they were soon through the training room and into Capernaum. (If that doesn’t make sense then you need to play the game). We gave away lots of Ancora Easter comics together with details of how to download the app. The whole event was busy from start to finish and it was great that the Carlisle Diocese invited us to be part of it.
