We are finished with Christmas but not quite ready for Easter - here's a good excuse to share God's Love
God is love.... and you can be too!
With Christmas a past memory and the shelves already lined with chocolate treats it’s easy to get into aeroplane mode and start planning for Easter. But what if we backed up a little and thought of what’s in between. Love is the core of the Christian faith and Valentine’s Day is an amazing opportunity to share the love of God in our communities.
Last year the church I attend did an amazing initiative where local people were able to nominate friends or family to be ‘treated’ with a gift bag from the church. The bag contained chocolate, candles, hot chocolate, a mug and bath goodies. This was a great success and it was good to see young people from the community engage in wanting to hand out the bags to those who were nominated.
Maybe this is something your church could do in your community. We need to be thinking about how we can share Gods love through the everyday with those on our doorsteps.
