All the sports projects in London meet over the next two days to learn together and create a strong sense of community – other regions have also been invited. Pray that this will be a beneficial time and will lead to forward moves in sports ministry.

Monday 18

On Saturday, SU Victoria hold their annual training day for SU Mission and Camp volunteers. Please pray that those who speak and lead workshops will inspire and equip participants. Pray that God will use this day powerfully as he prepares and empowers volunteers to serve in January.

Tuesday 19

The southern Training in Schools Work Course takes place over the next three days; a number of staff and Local Mission Partner team members will be contributing. Please pray for good participation and that it will enable an expansion of ministry in schools.

Wednesday 20

Pray for the Scripture Union Board as they meet today. The Board play a vital part in ensuring SU’s mission, vision and values are adhered to. Give thanks for all those who give their time to serve on the Board.

Thursday 21

New Local Mission Partner South Lakeland Christian Trust, based in Coniston, ask for prayer as they restart existing groups after the summer break and as they seek fresh vision for new groups. Pray too for more volunteers and a wider support base.

Friday 22

Local Mission Partner PSALMS are growing their Sports Ministry in partnership with Scripture Union. Pray for new team members who started this month: Nathan, Strategic Sports Minister; Ellie, trainee Sports Minister; and Ben, new intern, and for the rest of the team as they develop sports ministry.

Saturday 23

This month a new trainee, Alisha Hedley, started with Local Mission Partner MINE (Mission Initiative in Newcastle East). She writes, ‘Through this year I want to develop my understanding of God and how to share my faith with others.’ Please pray that will be her experience.
