For many years, SU in Switzerland has worked with a sports promotion programme for the Swiss Confederation. In March this support was withdrawn. Please pray that Christian associations are heard as they seek to counter this decision. 

Monday 20

Local Mission Partner Impact, in Bedford, give thanks that most schools are open to their work and for the volunteers who make it possible. There is continued demand for their Barn Nativity; pray that as this is held again in mid-December many will reflect on the good news of God’s love in Jesus.  

Tuesday 21

The First Christmas, a 28-page book, with full colour illustrations, retelling the Christmas story and aimed at 8- to 11-year-olds will be given away to many children this Christmas. Pray that thousands of children will engage with the Bible and meet Jesus for themselves. Pray too that funding will be raised to cover the cost. 

Wednesday 22

Steve Hutchinson is trying to help a number of churches who have good activities for children and families but long to see people respond to Jesus. This is a common concern. Pray for wisdom, new strategies and meaningful relationships that in time lead to faith. 

Thursday 23

Wayne Dixon of Local Mission Partner Christian Connections in Schools is involved in running Christmas Unwrapped at Slough Baptist Church for the 23rd year. Pray for this and for all other churches running this and similar programmes, that through them some of The 95 may meet Jesus.  

Friday 24

Please pray for the South West team as they make final preparations to share the Christmas story in the school playgrounds around the region, after school, between 4 and 15 December. Pray that people will accept invitations to Christmas events in local churches.  

Saturday 25

Today is a training day for new holiday and mission leaders. Thank God for their willingness to serve and pray that today will help them develop their skills and knowledge and extend their vision.
