Join us in praying for Scripture Union ministries – for those sharing the good news and for the children and young people they share it with
Sunday 1 (Easter)
As we rejoice in the resurrection, give thanks with SU Bénin for the wide range of activities they have run in the last three months including distribution of Bible notes; a training tour; an orientation course; and preparation for camps. Pray for a lasting impact.
The South East team are planning two schools weeks in London this autumn. Christian band LZ7 will visit schools and, at the end of the week, present concerts with a clear Christian message. Pray for a good response as the team begin discussions with schools.
Sports Life is a new initiative in the North West region using the pop-up mission model to take sport into the community as a way of engaging children and young people and sharing Jesus with them; Southport (tomorrow), Toxteth (Thursday) and Wirral (Friday). Pray that they will reach many.
For the next three days, churches in Bristol are running children’s holiday clubs with the help of the Scripture Union team as part of HOPE Bristol 2018. Pray that the children will enjoy the activities and learn more about Jesus.
SU local mission partner Fleet and Crookham Churches Together in Schools thank God for the continued growth of their secondary school clubs at Court Moor and Calthorpe Park schools. Please pray that the right person will be appointed as a new part-time member of staff.
Give thanks for those who every day are encouraged in their Christian lives through Scripture Union Bible reading guides. Pray for the writers, currently working on April to June 2019, that God will inspire them and give them wisdom as they bring the Bible to life.
Local mission partner Future Vision in Sudbury, Suffolk give thanks for the welcome and positive relationships in the schools. Pray that as the Open the Book teams go into the schools the truth will take root in hearts and minds.
