Sunday 5

Give thanks for the 50th anniversary of SU Sri Lanka which was celebrated in July. Pray that those who came to the celebration will recommend SU to others. Pray that the ministry will be increasingly known and that it will be well received in many new schools. 

Monday 6

Pray for the leadership team as they meet today and look ahead to the Board meeting later in the month. Ask that God will give them clarity and wisdom as they identify priorities for ministry and determine the way forward. 

Tuesday 7

Thank God for all those who met with him at events during the summer. Making these happen requires a lot of work behind the scenes. Pray for Heidi Beckham, Mission Events Coordinator (Finance), as she produces the holiday budgets. 

Wednesday 8

In today’s digital world, we’re so dependent on technology for much of what we do. Please pray for Ian Gooding who looks after all of Scripture Union’s IT systems, ensuring everything is upto- date and running smoothly. 

Thursday 9

Following a successful evangelistic weekend for 8–11s organised at the request of churches in the Mansfield area, a similar event will be run for 11–14s this coming weekend led by Development Worker Bob Goudy. Pray that this will result in many young people responding to the love of Jesus. 

Friday 10

The Scripture Union International Global Assembly starts today. Please pray for newly appointed SUI International Director Monika Kuschmierz and for Christian Hellwig who takes over as Chair. Pray that this will be a time of visionary thinking, and pray for the appointment of the Global Board. 

Saturday 11

Pray that Project 468, a new Local Mission Partner in Toxteth, may be able to maintain links with young people moving up to high school, build stronger relationships within the community and have more opportunities with schools and churches in the community to share the gospel with The 95.
