Isaac led sports sessions at Sweet Spot, a one day sports club in West Molesey, Surrey.

One of Scripture Union’s Mission Enablers in the South East, Isaac Rocke, led sports activities earlier last year at St Peter's Church, West Molesey and Westbourne Park Baptist Church, London.

St Peter's arranged a local sports-focussed holiday club, appropriately named Sweet spot. Over 50 children aged 7-14 took part and had fun playing basketball, dodgeball, football and hockey in age-appropriate groups.

Isaac led the football sessions and during half-time shared how he came to faith and also interviewed one of the volunteers about their faith journey.

This holiday club grew from a detached sports ministry linked to the church which held a weekly sports hour so some of the children who took part knew Gideon, St Peter's new Faith Guide. Plans for the future are to journey alongside these children and explore the good news of Jesus together. Gideon and Isaac hope to develop this group into a Grow Community combining sport with stories from the Bible giving children have the opportunity to discover for themselves the truths in God's word.

Please pray for Gideon and Isaac as they progress this vision!

Faith Guides: Journeying alongside the 95

Faith Guides are key to the new Scripture Union mission framework, Revealing Jesus. Faith Guides model a life of faith, build relationships with children and young people and help them discover their God-given gifts.

Mission Enabler

My role is to pioneer and develop opportunities across London for children and young people to experience God’s love in new and exciting ways. With over ten years of coaching and playing competitive sport I focus on developing Scripture Union's sports project by using sport as a platform to share faith.
