For many of Generation Z, traditional church just doesn’t work. Grow Communities are relevant and culturally appropriate worshipping communities that enable the faith of the 95 to flourish in their commitment to Jesus.
We have seen lots of evidence that children and young people thrive in relevant and culturally appropriate worshipping communities that are designed around them, their needs and their interests.
And so our hope is that Faith Guides, and the churches that commission them, will work towards developing Grow Communities, where those they’ve been journeying with will have the opportunity to meet regularly with their peers to worship and grow together.
Grow Communities will be peer-shaped, peer-served and adult-guided, with the children and young people setting the agenda along with their Faith Guides. Grow Communities are all about helping children and young people flourish in their faith in ways that work for them, and each and every one will look and feel different because they’ll be built with the children or young people they’re serving.
"Grow Communities are all about helping children and young people flourish in their faith in ways that work for them"
Whatever shape they take, we envisage Grow Communities to be wholeheartedly centred on discipleship, ownership and relationship, with each other and with Jesus. And in case it's not clear, they won’t be a replacement for church but complementary to usual church services.

Pray with us
It is so important that we lift this all up in prayer. Please join us in praying for the 95, and for churches and Faith Guides who will seek to walk alongside them. Pray that through many churches coming together in mission, many children and young people may come to know Jesus and develop a personal vibrant faith in him.
