Support Worker – Wales

Part-time, 21.75 hours per week, £10,500 (FTE: 17,500 pa)

Are you a flexible team player with a 'can-do' attitude and a good sense of humour, calm under pressure and able to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment?

Do you have good organisational and administrative skills?

Do you have good communication skills and the ability to take initiative, manage your own workload and meet deadlines?

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Wales National Team to participate in and support national activities and take responsibility for specific projects and tasks. You will be working closely with the National Coordinator to provide administrative support for Scripture Union (SU) staff and volunteers involved in community, church, and schools-based ministries in Wales.

The right candidate will possess strong IT skills, Welsh-speaking and written skills, good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people of various backgrounds and levels.

Preferably, you will live within easy access to Pwllheli as the successful candidate’s usual place of work will be the SU Cymru office in Pwllheli. Travel across Wales for meetings and other activities, including some occasional weekend/evening working, will be required. As this is an office-based role, the successful candidate will need to be comfortable working in a busy environment.

If this describes you, and you are in agreement with the aims and beliefs of Scripture Union, then we would like to hear from you.
