Farne Churches Youth and family Outreach (reg charity 1159586) is an interdenominational organisation based in Seahouses/North Sunderland and covering the area bounded by the villages of Belford, Bamburgh, Lucker, Ellingham, Embleton and Craster.
We are pleased to be a Scripture Union Local Mission Partner.

The group have employed a full time youth worker since June 2016 and, as our existing worker is moving on, we are looking to recruit a new full time worker commencing early in 2022. Part time applications will be considered.
The post will be for an initial two year period but is expected to be extended subject to satisfactory annual appraisal.
We are looking for someone who is creative, dynamic, adaptive and positive. They must be able to develop initiatives themselves but also able to work with and in a team.
The candidate must have good personal organisational/administrative and digital skills and be able to keep records and provide regular supporters with newsletter updates.
The successful candidate will build on the work already developed (Open the Book, Messy Church, Youth and Holiday Club activities etc) fulfilling the core objective of communicating the Christian message to young people and families. Good relationships exist with the four local primary schools and these must be maintained and developed.
The role has an occupational requirement to be filled by a committed Christian. Equality Act 2010, Part 1, Schedule 9 applies.
Accountability will be to the chair of the Trustees and/or other appointed FCYAFO member.
The post is based on 37 hours per week with days and times to fit the relevant activities. Annual leave, entitlement is 25 days plus 8 bank holidays. The salary will be between £20,000-£24,000 pa.
