Hours: Full time
Salary: £20,000 - £27,000 (gross) per annum, depending upon experience
Responsible to: Senior Youth Worker
Summary of organisation:
Outbreak is run by The Pimlico Foundation, a charity set up in 2016 to reach out and support children and young people living in Pimlico. There are areas of great deprivation in the locality, high levels of homelessness and mental illness, as well as a diverse range of ethnicities and cultural backgrounds.
Our aim is to enable young people to flourish on every level – physically, emotionally and spiritually – supporting families and the wider community. The successful candidate will be expected to work with the senior youth worker in a variety of projects including: after school clubs, mentoring schemes in schools, holiday clubs, Christmas and Easter trails, Messy Church and emotional intelligence classes in local schools.
This exciting and challenging role will require a highly motivated and experienced individual who can facilitate the development and implementation of the vision and working strategy. The Outbreak project operates from a variety of venues including local schools and streets in the local area. The post holder must be capable of recruiting, motivating and managing volunteers. We long to see Christianity flourish amongst the young people in Pimlico.
