Delivery information

Everything you need to know about the delivery of your purchased Scripture Union books and resources

How long will my order take?

Be it rain, wind, snow or shine our delivery partners and ourselves work hard to get your order to you ask quickly as possible. 

Order placed by our online resource centre:

We will despatch the next working from when you placed you order through our online resource centre.

Order received by post:

We aim to process all orders within 2 working days of receipt.

For all UK, non subscription, orders using the Standard Delivery option, we aim for delivery within 5-7 working days from despatch.

All non subscription orders delivered to Europe will generally take 7-10 working days from despatch, whilst for subscription orders being delivered to other countries, please allow 10-20 working days from despatch.

When will I receive my subscription?

All our subscriptions will be despatched in good time to ensure their timely arrival before the start of the next issue.

Bible readings are bulk mailed out as follows:

  • January – March issue: sent out during November
  • April – June issue: sent out during February
  • July - September issue: sent out during May
  • October – December issue: sent out during August

If you subscribe starting with the current issue (or one that is starting imminently), for example by placing an order on 1st January for the January - March issue (or two weeks prior to the issue start date), we will ensure that they are despatched as soon as possible via our standard postal method: Standard Delivery as noted in the how long will my order take section, above.

Express / Urgent Delivery

An Express Delivery option is also available for UK customers at a fixed cost of £8 per order. Your order will then be delivered within the next working days from despatch.

Please note that Express delivery is a 'signed for delivery' and will require someone to be at the delivery destination during working hours 8.30am to 6.00pm.

If, you are ordering from outside the UK and require your order as an uprated service, please contact our Supporter Care Team on +441908 856000 and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.

Can I upgrade the delivery of my order?

Yes, as long as your order hasn’t been sent for despatch (orders prior to 11.30am).

We can offer an Express Delivery option for UK customers at a fixed cost of £8 per order, which will then be delivered the next working days from despatch. To benefit from the next day service select the Express shipping option at checkout. If you have already placed your order then please call 01908 856006 to discuss the option.

Please note that Express delivery is a 'signed for delivery' and will require someone to beat the delivery destination during working hours 8.30am to 6.00pm.

Who will deliver my order?

Our despatch partner is Marston Book Services LTD. They work alongside some of the largest delivery companies within the UK to ensure that your order arrives with you swiftly. 

These companies are:

  • Royal Mail 

  • Yodel (Standard Post Larger Deliveries)

  • Swift (Next Day Deliveries)

  • APC (Overseas Deliveries)

What will happen if I’m out?

We understand that you can’t be in all the time to await your lovely Scripture Union books and resources so our despatch partner will ensure that the majority of books and resources are packaged to fit through your letterbox, these are mainly delivered by Royal Mail.

Where an order is large or sent to you by a courier, these will need to be signed for. If you are not in, the couriers should leave a calling card to let you know that they have attempted a delivery and provide further instructions.

We can provide instructions to the couriers to leave in a safe place or with a neighbour. We can also delay sending an order to suit when you will be at your delivery address. Sometimes these additional instructions may be at an additional cost, so to find out how best we can help you please contact our Supporter Care team on 01908 856000

Can I track my order?
