Engage Woking Schools are seeking a Part-time Team Lead (20 hours term time only, 39 weeks per year)
SALARY - £12,000
START DATE – 12TH APRIL 2027
Engage is looking for a Team Lead to help us take our ministry into its next chapter!
Engage is a Christian schools and college ministry serving the educational community across Woking. Working in partnership with local churches, schools, colleges and volunteers, we seek to sow seeds of faith and nurture young people by meeting them where they are, sharing and demonstrating faith, hope and love.
Our work includes delivering dramatized primary school assemblies, clubs at primary schools, Year 6 transition sessions, prayer spaces, Christian Unions and advising on Encounter, the ecumenical youth event bringing together young people from schools and local churches.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop an established Christian ministry, building on strong relationships with schools and churches while helping to shape its future direction.
As Team Lead, you will:
• Lead with vision and prayer, developing Engage’s strategy and discerning future opportunities for this ministry with the trustees.
• Support and inspire the team, providing leadership, day to day line management and encouragement to staff and volunteers.
• Develop partnerships, strengthening relationships with schools, churches, youth workers and other Christian organisations.
• Oversee our ministry, ensuring our school activities and youth events continue to be relevant, engaging and effective.
• Help secure our future, overseeing operational planning, finances, fundraising and communications in partnership with the trustees.
We are looking for someone who combines a strong Christian faith and a heart for young people with excellent relational, organisational and leadership skills. Experience in Christian ministry, schools work, youth work, team leadership or charity management would be valuable.
Above all, we are looking for someone who is prayerful, collaborative, encouraging and passionate about enabling young people to explore faith and experience the love of God.
