Scripture Union is passionate about seeing a new generation of children and young people have a vibrant, personal faith in Jesus. We are seeking a new Faith and Sports Hub Coordinator to develop quality and sustainable sports mission programmes across England and Wales in line with the Revealing Jesus mission framework, developing a sports and fitness ministry training hub, and to provide the basis for national sports ministry gatherings, training and conferences. The successful post holder will have ownership of the role and how the hub functions. The successful candidate will:
- Understand and be comfortable with agile project management.
- Be a significant leader in sports mission models, having technological awareness and technical proficiency in a wide variety of sports contexts which include both Christian Mission through Sport and 'secular' Sport for Development.
- Be a passionate sports practitioner, trainer, and leader who is used to bringing concepts and ideas to life in new and innovative ways.
- Have strong written, visual and verbal communication skills.
- Be aware of mission trends, models and issues in the UK.
- Be a proven self-starter able to remain positive and motivated through a rigorous and sometimes challenging sports model development process.
- Have a total commitment to God and is a Christian disciple.
