As family finances are getting increasingly stretched, will you help even more children and young people encounter Jesus on our holidays?
Our summer holidays are well under way, and this year we've got hundreds of children and young people booked on to our holidays - they are looking forward to seeing old friends, making new ones and taking part in lots of different activities.
We heavily subsidise the cost of our holidays to ensure as many children as possible are able to have a life-changing experience, but sadly, we've found that even this isn't enough.
This year alongside the normal subsidy, we are also offering extra grants for children and young people who, through no fault of their own, would never be able to experience for themselves all that an SU holiday has to offer.
Children like Beth...
Beth - aged 9 - has become a young carer for her sister who has profound epilepsy. Beth's mum is the main carer and because she is unable to sustain a regular work contract it is extremely difficult, financially, to allocate finances to one child to attend a holiday.
'A holiday where Beth is free of her caring role and can be herself would be such a benefit.' (Beth's Mum)
Summer Memories
Our holidays are filled with a variety of activities - games, outdoor fun, Bible study and much more! Every year we have lots of great comments and feedback from children, young people, parents and volunteers. Take a look for yourself at our Summer Memories leaflet
I go to church but am trying to find out more proof about God; I'm really looking forward to going back to Greatdayz so I can discover more about him. Last year, I loved the sport theme and I'm looking forward to all the fun and games again. (Harry)
