Right now, children and young people across England and Wales are open to faith in a way we haven't seen for generations. This openness to faith is an amazing God-given opportunity for the church to fill that Jesus-shaped hole for so many of these children and young people.
We know that many churches are struggling to respond to this incredible opportunity, so we're embarking on a new project and invite you to partner with us.

We're thrilled that funding has just been released to employ eight new Mission Pioneers across England and Wales, who will act as a vital line of inspiration, support and encouragement to churches who are passionate about reaching out but just don't have the time or resources.
These Mission Pioneers will be deployed into key locations across England and Wales with urban deprivation and lower socio-economic status, and where there is little church contact but an enormous opportunity for mission. This will ensure that many more churches can be a beacon of light to the lost.
We've committed to funding these eight new roles for two years – that's an enormous initial investment of nearly £300,000 pounds – but the truth is that churches need support for much longer.
Your gift today will enable us to extend these roles and support churches for the long run. And, most importantly, help make a lasting impact in the lives of children and young people!

Through these brand new roles, we're excited about creating additional opportunities to get alongside the local church as they understand more about the DNA of this generation, unpack the reality of their worlds and then look at new and creative ways to share the hope, and truth, of Jesus.
Not just now, but in the future too! Pioneers will create sustainable programmes that will Connect with a new generation of children and young people, who will be enabled to Explore the Bible, Respond to Jesus and Grow in faith. And, we pray, find a vibrant and personal relationship with Him.

As part of this project, we are employing two types of Mission Pioneers:
- Revealing Jesus Pioneers
- Sports Mission Pioneers
The Revealing Jesus Pioneers will work alongside SU's current Mission Enablers, providing many more churches with much-needed inspiration and support. They will help them implement the Revealing Jesus mission framework and ensure the churches they are working with are fully supported in the challenging but vital task of reaching the 95. The Sports Mission Pioneers' role will be very similar but will have a specific sports mission focus, maximising the potential that sport has for connecting with children and young people.
