Leap of Faith
Leap of Faith is an 18-session programme for those working with Key Stage 3 groups in secondary schools. Ideal for young people with no connection to church or faith, Leap of Faith explores some of the big questions of life, while opening up the big story of the Bible.
Each session is introduced by a question, and young people will be invited to explore their thoughts on that question, before reflecting on a Bible passage. They then pull some of all these strings together to move on in their understanding.
This first block of Leap of Faith contains one session introducing the big story of the Bible, followed by six sessions covering the life and ministry of Jesus, as well as his death and resurrection. The format is flexible enough to fit the differing demands of lunchtime and after-school clubs, and sessions can be stretched over two or more group meetings.
Two more blocks – one covering big events in the Old Testament, the other looking at the New Testament – will be published soon, giving you a whole Bible programme to use in secondary school groups.
