So what next?

So, What Next?

So, What Next? The perfect back-pocket guide to help children and young people discover more about Jesus after they've made a decision to follow him.

So, What Next?

You've started following Jesus! So, What Next?

Navigating the 'what next' after you've made the decision to follow Jesus can be difficult, especially if you're unfamiliar with the Bible, and you're still discovering who God is, that's why we've created So, What Next?

Designed and written in collaboration with New Wine this back pocket booklet helps young people who have made a recent commitment to follow Jesus, continue on their journey with him.

Using short Bible reflections from the books of Psalms, Romans and Matthew So, What Next? covers the topics of: Who is God? Who am I? and Who am I becoming? Common questions that children and young people ask as they delve deeper into what it means to live for Jesus.

Take a look inside...

So What Next - book and internal

So, What Next? is written by New Wine Luminosity Team: Lee Kirkby (Head of New Wine Youth) alongside Brogan Hume, and youth practitioners Joel Barwick and Alice Young who have brought a wealth of experience and insight from their field of work and have turned this into a practical, useful guide for young people.

This 32-page A5 booklet helps new believers discover how to use the Bible, how to talk to God and how to hear from him. Using every day, jargon-free language, and containing a glossary explaining some common words we use within the Christian faith, this little guide is suitable for any young person (between the ages of 11 and 18) as they discover more about Jesus.

Joel Barwick

Joel Says: 'Every year, hundreds of young people at Luminosity decide to follow Jesus, including some from the 95. Making that commitment is a huge moment in their lives! However, Luminosity only lasts a week. After that, these new Christians are back home and on their own. We don’t want young people’s faith to depend on festivals, but on Jesus and knowing him every day.

‘So, we wanted to give them something to take home which would help them navigate faith, but we couldn’t find anything suitable. Existing resources tend to presume a level of knowledge about faith that some of these young people don’t have. And that’s why we developed our own.’
