Despite lockdown and local restrictions, North Region Mission Enabler, Geoff Brown has still been able to support schools with some online assemblies. Here he explains that whilst some things remain the same, some aspects are completely different.
Great opportunities
Over the past few months I have had opportunities to record and deliver some online assemblies for an academy in Northumberland. Initially these were sent home for the students to watch, but more recently these are being shown in tutor times on a Monday morning.
I really enjoy taking assemblies but normally you would not be able to see me in action. However, this new way of working can give you an insight in to my work.
So, here is the first couple of minutes of the most recent assembly that I did for the academy.
I then went on to look at those 3 things and what they tell us about God and how He wants us to know and follow Him.
I closed the assembly by challenging the young people to think about these things and what place God could have in their lives.
