SOLID Festival is a Scripture Union camp that runs with the help of other partners* and takes place over the first weekend in July. The festival is an incredible opportunity for children aged 8-17 to spend the weekend at Stubbers Adventure Centre with close to 500 other children, their leaders and the 90 or so team that brings the event to life. Each year God has done amazing things at the festival through the many different worship services and opportunities to chat about faith while doing heaps of other activities.

"This year our team was heartbroken that we couldn’t meet in person, so we've decided to take the festival online. With lots of hard work behind the scenes the team pulled a programme together for Saturday 4th July starting with our two streams for worship: Jump In hosted by *Red Balloon Foundation and Expect hosted by the Scripture Union team. The afternoon was packed with 30 minute opt-in activities: making a bag from a T-shirt, fitness and sport, dance workshop, and challenges."

"The theme for this year was God's Masterpiece, honing in on Ephesians 2v10. The team felt it was so important to share this message at such a difficult time, and we worked hard to weave this theme throughout all the online activities."

"I hosted the ‘challenges’ stream with Bradley, and together we lead games and interactive challenges for the 20 young people that joined. Kick-ups with toilet rolls, the famous ‘plank challenge’, try not to laugh, tower building with household items and my personal favourite ‘fetch me’ where children have to fetch whatever the host asks for—a blue item, a pen, the smallest item they can find and so on.

This section ended with one final challenge. In keeping with the theme, I set the challenge to let someone else know they are God’s Masterpiece too, using both words and actions."

"Our day ended with the two worship streams that included testimonies, engaging talks, activities and an encouragement to believe and live in the truth that we are God’s Masterpiece, created anew in Christ Jesus.
