150 years of SU beach missions

Holiday & Missions Anniversary (1868 to 2018)

It has been 150 years since our first beach mission, and the message 'God is Love' is still just as important today.

Could you make a special gift today to help even more children and young people meet with Jesus on this anniversary summer?

150 years ago Josiah Spiers wrote 'God is Love' in the sand on the beach in Llandudno; this powerful and life-changing message is one that we want to share with thousands of children and young people this summer.

Thanks to nearly two thousand passionate volunteers we will be sharing God's love with an estimated 6,000 children and young people this year.

Through the long days of the British summer children and young people, like James, will meet with Jesus on the beach, in parks or on campsites. Through lots of fun activities, they will learn to dig deeper into God's word and apply it to their lives.

Every year thousands of children and young people have some amazing experiences on our holidays and missions, see for yourself what some of them have to say.

James* has grown as a confident christian because of SU holiday Ka'zoo

Teenage boy smiling

I started out as a kid, uneducated and naive in the world of God and Christianity.

I loved the testimonies where the leader's wisdom and experience have taught me so much; I have adored every worship session and chanting endlessly until I lost my voice.

I am so thankful for the sacrifices and unchanging determination of the Ka'zoo team, and I will remember these days for the rest of my life.

Your support will:

  • Help keep our holiday costs as low as possible so that more children and young people can attend - ensuring that no one misses out due to financial difficulty
  • Enable our holiday and mission leaders to purchase equipment and resources they need for the holidays and mission.
  • Help prevent our volunteers from financially contributing more than they need to.

We have recently been developing shorter weekend breaks that are great for reaching the 95% of children and young people not in church - your support today could help us provide more opportunities like this
