God is at work in the next generation

Last year, Bible Society released The Quiet Revival report, pointing to growing spiritual interest across the UK. Earlier this month, YouGov acknowledged their error in providing faulty data for the report. But we are no less encouraged! God is alive in the next generation and we continue to give thanks.

The reliability of YouGov's data sample doesn’t change what we’re seeing day in and day out. Our teams continue to witness hopeful signs of God at work in the next generation – from Year 5 pupils starting Alpha courses for their whole class, to children with no church background hearing clearly from God in their dreams. Something is unmistakably stirring in young hearts.

Please keep praying for those who are seeking and asking big questions about faith – ask God to do a deep and lasting work in their lives. And pray that churches will step into this moment, revealing Jesus in ways that are relevant, relational and rooted in love.

Helping you step into this opportunity

You can read Bible Society's statement about 'The Quiet Revival' report, and the accuracy of the data here.

Let's pray for them as they work this through, and as they plan to run the YouGov survey again having ensured the appropriate safeguards are in place to ensure reliable results.

But let's also continue to give thanks to God for the many encouraging stories we're hearing. God is at work in the next generation!
