For many of Generation Z, traditional church just doesn't seem to be for them, or fit with their culture, so they don't stay part of it for long. Grow Communities are relevant and culturally appropriate worshipping communities that enable the faith of the 95 to flourish in their commitment to Jesus.
We have seen lots of evidence that children and young people thrive in relevant and culturally appropriate worshipping communities that are designed around them, their needs and their interests.
Alongside the churches that commission them, Faith Guides work towards developing Grow Communities, where those they’ve been journeying with will have the opportunity to meet regularly with their peers to worship and grow together.
Grow Communities are peer-shaped, peer-served and adult-guided, with the children and young people setting the agenda along with their Faith Guides. Grow Communities are all about helping children and young people flourish in their faith in ways that work for them, and each and every one will look and feel different because they’re built with the children or young people they’re serving.

Whatever shape they take, Grow Communities are wholeheartedly centred on discipleship, ownership and relationship, with each other and with Jesus. And in case it's not clear, they aren’t a replacement for church but complementary to usual church services.
