Why an SU holiday?

Fun

Holidays are all about fun!

Throughout the year you can choose from multi-activity residentials with a mix of sport, adventure, arts and crafts, fun and games, or go for one of our specialist holidays which focus on a specific activity (sailing, technology, performing arts and baking to name a few!)

Faith Exploration

On Scripture Union holidays, we invite children and young people to discover the difference Jesus can make to the challenges and adventures of life.

The way that this is done will vary depending on the age group and facilities available, but it will always be engaging and relevant to those that are there!

Affordability

We aim to make our holidays as affordable as possible. We do not run them to make a profit. We have five-day camps from as little as £85! That includes accommodation, food and activities.

For those families that need a little help, we also have a Holiday Fund. To apply for a grant, simply tick the box on your booking form and we'll be in touch.

Extra Support

We have unique holidays tailored for families with children who are fostered or adopted, and holidays for those with additional needs.

These holidays provide a safe space with a lot of support and a huge amount of fun!

Safety

Not only are all activities and holidays subject to appropriate risk assessments to keep everyone as safe as possible, but all our holidays (and other events) are run by teams of high-quality volunteers who are suitably vetted and trained for the roles they carry out.

Missions and Clubs

Scripture Union missions and holiday clubs are an important part of Scripture Union's work as we share the good news of Jesus with children and young people across England and Wales.

Taking place in the school holidays, these missions and holiday clubs are run by passionate volunteers and SU staff who are committed to seeing children and young people discover just how much God loves them and the difference that he can make in their lives.

Count me in - Connecting You

Volunteer applications are open!

WIll you say #CountMeIn and join with thousands of volunteers across England and Wales, who are all passionate about seeing children and young people discover the difference Jesus can make to their lives.

Not only is volunteering on a Scripture Union event lots of fun, but it's a great way to build relationships, develop your skills and get real life experience of working with children and young people!

Applications for 2024 are now open!

Other events

As well as the great number of activity holidays, camps and holiday clubs taking place this year, we'll also be running many other events across England and Wales. In parks, on beaches, in community centres – we offer a unique blend of fun and finding out about faith. From tide fights to craft activities there is something for everyone.

There for you all year round, discover what's going on in your area, by reaching out to your local team. They'd love to hear from you!

Your financial support really does make a difference and helps us connect with more children and young people through our holidays, missions, and events.

If you would like to support a child who can't afford to go on an SU holiday, you can donate to our Holiday Fund.
