Matt Lewis and John Settatree visited Scripture Union Lesotho in February to see the work that they do there, to share ideas and training, and to plan for future links
Lesotho is the country that is twinned with Wales. There are a lot of similarities between the two countries: the language is similar with their lettering and sounds, they are both very mountainous in layout and they are both small countries with their own cultures.
The Welsh team have been developing relationships with the team in Lesotho. Whilst they were there they were able to visit different schools and were a part of the leadership training weekend that is held regularly for their staff and volunteers.
We are looking to invite a team from Lesotho to Wales this summer in conjunction with the 150th celebration of Scripture Union that we are holding in Llandudno where Josiah Spiers held the first beach mission.
